What is CMMI IT Infrastructure Library
CMMI (Capacity Maturity Model Integration) describes best practices, already applied in industry, for developing, maintaining and acquiring products and services. It provides a framework that allows assessing the level of maturity of the organization or its capacity in relation to the operations it performs, to set priorities in order to implement the improvements that need to be implemented and to achieve those improvements. There are 3 CMMI models, all developed by (SEI), These models are: • CMMI Development, addressed to organizations that develop and maintain products and services for system development. • CMMI for Acquisitions, directed at organizations that subcontract development services and maintain products and services for system development. • CMMI for Services, addressed to organizations that provide services to other companies
